FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS YOUR MEMORIAL JEWELLERY MADE FROM EXACTLY?

All of our memorial jewellery is carefully handcrafted using high-quality materials, which are then placed in bright genuine 925 silver settings. Unlike normal glass, our materials will not crack or smash. A special blend of vibrant colouring agents are also added to give each piece of memorial jewellery a unique appearance. We also supply 9ct for many of our collections, so please ask!

HOW MUCH ASH, HAIR OR FUR DO YOU REQUIRE?

For ash, a teaspoon is sufficient to create a single piece of cremation jewellery. For hair or fur we require a lock to create a single piece of remembrance jewellery. Both of these amounts are sufficient to craft your chosen piece of memorial jewellery. However, anything left over will be returned back to you with your completed order in secure packaging.

WHAT COLOURS ARE AVAILABLE?

All of our pieces are made using a special blend of vibrant colouring agents and can therefore be made in any colour. You may wish to show us a specific colour, that we will match as accurately as we can. As a sperate mix is prepared with every order, the colour of each piece will be unique and one of a kind!

HOW WILL MY ASHES, HAIR OR FUR BE COLLECTED?

We aim to make this process as convenient for you as possible, therefore aim to collect any ashes, hair or fur from you ourselves in person. However, you may wish to deliver these items to us yourself, which is absolutely fine also. We are also more than happy to liaise with any funeral parlours directly to arrange for any items to be collected from them, again making this process as convenient for you as possible during such a difficult time. We are more than happy to discuss any special requirements that you may have.

We understand that some people would prefer not to send their precious ashes, hair or fur in the post, however if for some reason this is not possible (usually long distance) then we will discuss other alternatives (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery).

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PIECE OF MEMORIAL JEWELLERY?

Due to the level of care and detail given to your chosen piece of memorial jewellery, we aim to have each piece returned back to you within 28 days. During this time, your memorial jewellery will be carefully handcrafted with your loved one’s ashes, hair or fur encapsulated inside.

HOW ARE MY ASHES, HAIR OR FUR CARED FOR?

We guarantee that the utmost respect and attention to detail will be given to you cremation jewellery at all times. As soon as we receive your ashes, hair or fur, we immediately label each piece with a unique reference number which enables us to identify each piece of cremation jewellery. Additionally, each of your precious items are placed in separate containers to further ensure that they are always uniquely identifiable.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER?

If for any reason you change your mind and want to cancel your order you can do so within 48 hours of placing it and receive a full refund. However, if you decide to cancel your order after this time then you lose your initial deposit of £25, as we will have started crafting your piece of cremation jewellery.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY MEMORIAL JEWELLERY?

You should remove your memorial jewellery when doing the following:

• Using sunbeds

• Washing dishes (rings) and using cleaning chemicals.

• Showering/bathing

• Working with harsh UV rays

• Applying lotions, perfume or hair spray

• Swimming

• Cooking, as some ingredients may contain sulphur

• Applying fake tanning products

Sterling silver and resin do not like humid conditions. Oxidation is caused when oxygen comes into contact with sterling silver. To prevent tarnish, you should store your memorial jewellery in its own box, in an area with low humidity. With all sterling silver, unless it is rhodium plated which is costly, tarnish can occur if not correctly maintained. A silver polishing cloth (included for free with each order) should always be used when cleaning any silver parts of your memorial jewellery and your memorial jewellery should be kept dry at all times. However, a polishing cloth on the actual ashes, hair or fur cabochon should not be used.

For adjustable remembrance rings, please ensure you select the finger that you wish to wear the ring and adjust the ring accordingly to fit this chosen finger. Please do not adjust the remembrance ring to fit other fingers, as repeated adjustment will cause stress to the metal and may result in the ring breaking.
